The simple answer is no. There is carded cotton, ring spun cotton and combed ring spun cotton. Carded cotton has a rougher feel to it but by the time you move into a combed cotton garment it is a smooth, soft feel.

Many times you will see a garment listed as performance but what does that mean. The biggest characteristic is its ability to wick away moisture. The primary way of doing so is to blend polyester into the fabric. Sometimes as little as 30% does a good job but other times you will see 100% polyester. The best is whatever feels best to you!
